The irony is in the title today, as i sat in the office praying for family & friends to get in touch and for those who have lost loved ones by the meaningless act that occoured in London.

I praise the emergency services for what they did and how quick they responded to the crisis.

Have just realised I haven't blogged for a while , so I thought I'd update you if you read this.

Have just been made full time at work. After 6 months of part time so I am ok with that.

Tried to get in touch with old friends who can't really be friends if they stop talking to you because of a wedding ring.

Have taken to eating bananas and chocolate custard as part of my get healthy scheme.

I am doing the tesco race for life - www.raceforlife.org.uk so in training for that.

have been coming up with hairbrained scheme such as developing a village and calling it 'Nowhere' - and having a house in the middle with a plaque saying "welcome to the middle of Nowhere"

It has just occured that one of the major hassles in life is that of mating. As humans we moan about not having someone to share our life with...yetwhen we do find someone we spend most of our time moaning about having space and doing things on our own -

Does anyone has the answer to this or am I I just feeling boring old and married?

Been a rough week or so with alot of things happening at the same time. This week was particularly hard since two members of our church died within 12 hours of each other in different parts of the country. This means having to speak nicely to my boss tomorrow to get some time off next week.
I am grateful that the two ladies in question are now resting peacefully and are no longer in pain.

I am doing the Tesco/cancer research race for life this year so I am dedicating it to one of the ladies who died from cancer.

On the good point my friend's sister gave birth to a little boy earlier on this morning.

Today (7th) is my first wedding anniversary. One year of being a MRS!!!

It has been strange and we've had ups and downs but it is a nice feeling

Today i turned 24! It was surprizingly like any other day except I take this time to reflect on the past year. I think it has been a good year. i got my first birthday card that said 'wife' on it and another that said 'daughter in law' It was quite a nice feeling! Here is to another year!

What are garages for? Most people would use them as an extra storage space. I suppose never owning a house or a flat with a garage I have never known how much they can be useful. Still if i had a house with a garage it would be for a car - not a workspace or storage....

Have a had a few days holiday... Been to mid wales to see some friends and had a lovely time not doing anything.

I am getting worried I turn 24 on friday...:-/

I have just spent the last weekend in the area known as Airdale. I'd never thought I'd say this being from Lancashire but I will miss Yorkshire and especially the rolling dales of Keighley, Steeton and Crosshils.

At least it was a weekend we will never forget as we had organised a surprize party for my in-laws. Who eventually forgave me for 'telling' them that they were staying at home!!!

Spoke to Sarah today - who is sailing round the world. It was nice having not spoken to her for months.

Still nothing interesting happening round here, everything has seemed to have gone quiet.....

Well unless you count trying to organise a surprize party for people who insist they are not going to be around.

Off to the joys of West Yorkshire in a couple of weeks the last time I will be able to look across Airedale, will have to take my camera this time. I never thought I'd miss the joys of Skipton and Keighley. Caleb is thinking I am going to miss the joys of Boundary Mill (which is on the right side of the pennines) I am not letting him on the secret just yet!!!

Although I have discovered I am not very good at loooking after plants - never mind!

Went to Edinburgh last week for a couple of days. Flew from East Mids Airport on Tuesday, shortest flight in history saw roads which looked like veins in your hand. Stayed in a really nice hotel care of my friends employer and had breakfast over looking Edinburgh Castle.

It was nice to get away and recharge walking in my native country (well half native at least.)

Had a lovely day on the Wednesday. Having a drink over looking the ship Britanna. Walked up to the Castle found a little shop which did family tartans. Found out that my Clan is the Kerr clan bought some of my Tartan and a kilt.
Found out my family history......found out the family motto is LATE BUT IN EARNEST
Think I may adopt that!!!!

Got blown about my the scottish wind.

On Thursday came back by train and the was a fantastic view of the North Sea which looked rather nice in the sunshine.

All in all not bad for a couple of days

Decided that I would like to move up that way - only snag is Caleb likes where we are, but we are going up again sometime soon.

My attempts to stay fit have failed. I havent done any walking since. Things are not going good at the moment so in an attempt to recharge I am taking a little trip - more when I return

In my attempt to keep fit I did some aerobics (oz style) and walked to Clay Cross, which is a about 3 miles from where we live. (in temperatures of about -1)

It was nice it blew all those nasty cobwebs which had benn gathering - thing is it also made me rather sleepy zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Have just got back from a day of babysitting...
Went to church this morning, with friends and then took the kids home. It was funny 'coz one guy thought that they were mine!!!! I cant remember having three kids!!

Anyway spent the afternoon playing battleships and cooking. Managed to bath and feed them (with help from Caleb) before their dad got home.

Am now enjoying the peace and quiet!!!!

I have a Mr Wonderful... and I am not talking about Caleb either...

He is about three inches tall stuck on a key ring and comes out with such phrases as...

"let's just cuddle tonight"
"actually I'm not sure which way to go. I'll pull in here and ask for directions"

and the most annoying one

"can't your mother stay another week?"

This went down quite well in the office today -.

Aparrently there is a Mrs Wonderful - but then again who needs a keyring, us woman are wonderful all the time!!!!!

I am getting really paranoid at present. I made it my job to get in touch with a few people who I haven't see/spoke to in a while just to say 'hi'

Thing is I am getting quite alot of answering machines, I am beginning to feel a bit paranoid really...

Ode to Ebay

The worst thing I think I could have ever done is introduced my husband to ebay!!!
Not so long ago we both got new cars (mine through choice, his not) which happen to be the same make but different models. Caleb is all his loving kindness bought us watches of the car makes and scary enough colours identical to our cars.
Matching wedding rings are romantic but watches...well....It is a good job I love him really!!!! I suppose his insaneness is one of his nicest qualities.......

I scared him today though, I brought home a car full of baby clothes...and baby items.....

Slim Fast...

Went into town today and decided that I was going get rid of the fat I aquired back in June. So park in the furthest car park away and walked and bought a slim fast shake as I decided to see if it was the quickest way to lose weight. Thing is though it make me throw up which could be a good way to start!!!

Back at work today!!!! I decided that I need more excitment in my life!

Tried to bounce today - I bought a trampoline in my attempt to stay fit - seems my usual walking expeditions have now been replaced by household chores. I did want to go and join the local gym - the trampoline seemed value for money at the time. - the only problem being that ever time I want to bounce I have to get the thing out and put it up!!!

Have been meaning to start clearing out all my old clothes since new year, but haven't got round to it. I am back at work tomorrow so that's another day gone.

Things is I may decide that at some point that I might need them. I suppose that will be an reason to go and buy more.!!!!

Have a had a lazy day - took down the christmas decorations and went for a 'wander' into town. Caleb thought I was ill as I passed monsoon without buying anything and didn't get anything from tesco clothing either.

Starting a new play on Friday - i play a family crisis worker - beats being a vicar's wife though!
